Frequently Asked Questions

Can I buy an air rifle or air pistol online in the UK?

You can order airguns online, but UK legislation means that air rifles and air pistols cannot simply be sent directly to your home. They must be transferred face-to-face through an appropriate Registered Firearms Dealer (RFD). If you are unsure how this works, contact The Shooting Party before ordering and we will be happy to explain the process.

Do you have an airgun shop I can visit?

Yes. The Shooting Party has a well-stocked airgun and shooting accessories showroom in Staffordshire. You can visit us to browse our range, speak to our experienced team and get advice before making a purchase.

Can I part exchange my old air rifle or air pistol?

Yes. Unlike some airgun retailers, The Shooting Party considers used airguns for part exchange against another gun. Contact us with details of the airgun you would like to part exchange and we can discuss your options.

Will you buy my used airgun?

Yes. We purchase used airguns as well as offering part exchange. The value will depend on factors such as the make, model, age and condition of the airgun.

Do you sell airgun pellets?

Yes. We stock airgun pellets from specialist manufacturers including JTS, JSB and AFO Panther, in different calibres and pellet shapes available for different airguns and shooting requirements.

Do you sell rifle scopes and optics?

Yes. We stock rifle scopes, sights, mounts and other shooting optics, including products from PAO Professional Airgun Optics.

How old do I need to be to buy an airgun?

Airguns and certain shooting products are age-restricted in the UK. You must be 18 or over to purchase an air weapon or ammunition for an air weapon. Age and identity checks may therefore be required when purchasing age-restricted products.

Do you deliver airguns throughout the UK?

We can arrange the transfer of airguns through Registered Firearms Dealers, subject to the relevant legislation and any applicable delivery or transfer charges. Other eligible shooting accessories can be ordered for delivery in accordance with our delivery terms.

Can you send an airgun directly to my home?

No. Airguns cannot simply be dispatched directly to a customer's home following an online sale. The transfer must comply with UK firearms legislation and will normally be completed face-to-face through a Registered Firearms Dealer.

Do you offer advice after I've bought an airgun?

Yes. We're here to help before and after your purchase. If you have questions about an airgun, scope, PCP charging system or other equipment purchased from The Shooting Party, contact our team and we'll do our best to help.
